Pinellas County, FL to Consider Agreement for Sale and Purchase of Wholesale Reclaimed Water
The Commission will Consider Approval of the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Pinellas Park (City) for the sale and purchase of wholesale reclaimed water for a ten-year term. · County and City have had a long-standing agreement for the sale and purchase of reclaimed water to serve the City's reclaimed water service area for over 25 years. · County and City desire to renew the recently expired agreement (February 2025) to provide wholesale reclaimed water service to City. · County will supply a minimum of 5.7 million gallons of reclaimed water per day to City for use and redistribution in its reclaimed water service area. · Anticipated revenue for Fiscal Year 2025 is $505,000 based on historic City demand and the County’s current approved wholesale rates. All County expenses are covered by these revenues. Funds are deposited into the Utilities Sewer Revenues and Operating Enterprise Fund. Agreement term will be effective from the date of execution by both parties for a period of 10 years; Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.
