Weston, FL to Consider Ordinance Affecting Background Checks for Athletic Coaches

The Commission will Consider An Ordinance of the City of Weston, Florida, amending the Code of Ordinances of the City, Section 1.01, “Definitions,” to provide for a definition of “Independent Sanctioning Authority” and “Athletic Coaches”, remove the definition of “Sports League Official;” and amending Section 100.11, “Background Checks,” to revise the background checks requirements for athletic coaches to conform to state law; and providing for an effective date.
