Escambia County, FL to Consider Ordinance Affecting Stormwater Control
The Commission will review and adopt an Ordinance amending the Design Standards Manual (DSM) of the Land Development Code (LDC) Chapter 1, Article 1, Section 1-1.2 “Stormwater Quantity,” and Chapter 1, Article 1, Section 1-1.4(a) “Pond, Slopes, Fencing and Maintenance Access,” to incorporate the adopted Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) rainfall data into the design of Stormwater Management Systems (SMS). Additionally, this Ordinance amends certain criteria for private and public residential subdivisions regarding pond slopes, fencing, and maintenance access.

Additional information: Citizens wishing to speak at public forum will be heard beginning at 4:30 p.m., immediately prior to the regular Board of County Commissioners Meeting which begins at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month in the following manner: Each speaker will be allotted three minutes, unless otherwise determined by the Chairman. Public forum is intended for matters not included on the agenda for the meeting. Citizens wishing to address items on the agenda should sign up to speak to such item at the regular Board of County Commissioners meeting. At the Chairman's discretion, public forum may end at 5:25 p.m. to allow the regular Board of County Commissioners' meeting to commence on time.
